Our team is available for appointments, scheduling, prescription requests, medical record inquiries, and general client support during the following hours:
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Eastern Time)
Appointments are available by reservation and may include mobile house calls, telemedicine consultations, and scheduled veterinary nurse appointments.
After-Hours Emergency Phone Consultation
Medical emergencies don’t always occur during regular business hours. For both new and established clients, Wandering Wings offers limited after-hours emergency phone consultation services with our exotics nurses to help determine the safest next steps for your pet.
Monday – Friday
- 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM (ET)
- 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM (ET)
Saturday & Sunday
- 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (ET)
A discount for this service is offered to established clients. If an appointment is scheduled within 24 hours of the emergency phone consultation, the fee for the consultation will be credited for both new and established clients.
Please note that after-hours consultations are intended to provide medical guidance and triage. If your pet requires immediate lifesaving treatment, hospitalization, oxygen therapy, surgery, or continuous monitoring, we may recommend proceeding directly to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital.

Our telephone lines are monitored during our published business and on-call hours.
If you reach our voicemail, please leave:
- Your full name
- Your pet’s name and species
- A telephone number where you can be reached
- A brief description of your concern
Messages are returned as promptly as possible according to medical urgency.
Emails and text messages are also reviewed throughout normal business hours; however, they should never be relied upon for life-threatening emergencies or time-sensitive medical situations.
Emergency Situations
If your pet is experiencing any of the following:
- Difficulty breathing
- Collapse or inability to stand
- Severe or uncontrolled bleeding
- Repeated seizures
- Major trauma or suspected fractures
- Egg binding
- Heat stroke
- Suspected toxin exposure
- Sudden paralysis
- Severe pain or rapidly deteriorating condition
Please do not wait for a callback. Proceed immediately to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital. Once your pet has been stabilized, we are happy to coordinate with the emergency team and provide ongoing follow-up care in the comfort of your home whenever appropriate.
After-Hours In-Person Veterinary Consultations
After-hours in-person consultations are available by request and are subject to veterinarian availability. After-hours consultation fees apply; members of the Wandering Wings Concierge Care Program receive preferred pricing.
